This is Book three in The Family Caregiver’s Series.

The books in this series are designed to support you, the family caregiver, which in turn will help you be supportive to your loved one.

While caregiving is love in action, it is also a demanding job. One that requires a lot of self-care to keep us going. This journal is a place for thoughts and feelings, but also a place to jot down ideas and plans to make the job easier.

Contributor Bio

Harriet Hodgson has cared for three generations of family members—her mother who developed dementia in her 80s and her twin grand-children who were teenagers when they lost both of their parents in accidents in 2007. Then, in 2013 Hodgson’s husband’s aorta dissected and he had three emergency operations. Surgeons managed to save his life, but he suffered a spinal stroke during the last operation, and his legs are paralyzed. Hodgson started keeping a journal many years ago and over the years has adjusted her journals to the style she now offers in this book. Hodgson is the author of 35 books and thousands of print/Internet articles. Hodgson has appeared on more than 185 radio/blog talk radio shows and dozens of television stations, including CNN. A popular speaker, she has given presentations at public health, Alzheimer’s, and bereavement conferences.
