Over the course of a day, an adorable young bigfoot (a.k.a., Sasquatch) explores a warm and vibrant magical-realist Pacific Northwest forest realm and interacts with friendly, nonthreatening creatures including tree fairies, forest gnomes, bats, bears and owls. Young readers and pre-readers will discover the details of this magical world alongside their monster baby avatar, as every spread features a flap revealing a fun, unexpected and friendly character or hidden aspect of the scene for the reader to discover at their own pace. As day turns to night, the final spread finds Bigfoot Baby tuckered out and safely tucked in a tree house bed, with parents present to say goodnight after a busy day of adventure.
