with a desire to achieve and driven by his passions and love of life, multi-talented Photographer Michael C. Smith has been documenting Boston's Trinidad Style Carnival since graduating Northeastern University, Boston in 1983.Michael's guiding light behind the camera has always been the continual pursuit of new ways to capture an unposed image. Today some 30 years later Michael still believes in the beauty of Boston's Trinidad Style Carnival and the art that's brought to life in the parade.Culture Lives Here: Boston's Trinidadian Inspired Carnival in Photos, Volume One is his first attempt at sharing wonderful memories in a coffee table style book. There are 310 pages of vivid color photographs recalling 10 years – 2005 to 2015, including brief bits of historical information and other important elements relating to Boston's Trinidad Style Carnival.Creating Culture Lives Here: Boston's Trinidadian Inspired Carnival in Photos, Volume One has been Michael's passionate journey.  There's was fun, excitement, and surely a little difficulty selecting the best from his 20,000 images to be included in the publication.
