Isha: She Will Be Called, is the first instalment in a book series about women, for women, and written by women. An eclectic collection of exposé, storytelling and creative writing in various forms by Becky Thomas and members of the artistic guild, Hummingbird Circle, it celebrates the making of the first woman, Isha, also known as Eve. Isha seeks to answer questions such as:
"Why was Isha made?"
"What, if anything went wrong?"
"Is there any hope of her being restored?"
and "How does her story intersect with mine?"
Not a typical resurrection of tired, old stereotypes, Isha: She Will Be Called serves to help us read some old stories differently, and challenges to rethink how we relate to the Creator, ourselves and one another.
