Katie Poli is a former Early Years teacher with a passion for both children's literature and the Arts. She has taught piano for 25 years and currently works as a university lecturer in Arts education. Katie lives in Brisbane with her three hilarious children, her illustrator-husband, and four chickens.
Giuseppe Poli has been drawing since he was a young child. He studied children’s book illustration under Philip Blythe at Arts Academy Queensland. Hootie the Cutie is his first book.
