Dr Gordon Winch is one of Australia’s best loved children’s authors. He is known for such best selling titles as Samantha Seagull’s Sandals and Koala Sees the World. Gordon’s engaging and humorous style makes him a favourite with young readers. Gordon was a teacher for 54 years and has taught many of the teachers now teaching in primary schools across New South Wales.
Steve Pym lives in Sydney with his wife Anna and son Daniel. He has a Palaoebiology degree with honours in Wildlife Illustration and has worked for many years in natural resource management. Steve finds inspiration for his artwork in the plants, animals and landscapes of the bushland around Sydney. He enjoys depicting these in a realistic manner, working in acrylic, watercolour or pencil. Stephen was shortlisted for the Crichton Award for his illustrations in Apollo the Powerful Owl.
