We were supposed to be in a 'postfeminist' age. But recently we've seen a resurgence of feminist campaigning among women (and some men). There's a new brand of feminism: young, socialmedia savvy, militant. But there's a new kind of backlash, driven by socalled fundamentalists and by increasingly overt misogyny.

She is the author of The No-Nonsense Guide to Women's Rights (New Internationalist), Feminism and Men (Zed Press), co-author of the first State of the World's Fathers and has been the principal author of six of the eight State of the World's Girls reports published by Plan International. Alongside her writing, she trains, coaches, and manages evaluations.
