On the Wings of the Swan
An unselfish act and the selfless wish of a young girl unlock the powers of Casimiria and the fairies.
When young Merryrose sets out on an ordinary day across the River of Gold, events cause her to make a choice. Her unselfish act to save the life of the grumbly, grumpy, grouchy old man attracts the attention of the magical creatures of Casimiria, the Land of Wishes. When they place the golden key in her hands, unusual but important changes begin. All the while, the cunning forces of darkness conspire to threaten Merryrose's good wishes. With graceful storytelling charm and the exquisite line drawings, On the Wings of the Swan is an enchanting fairy tale that shows how the loveliness of a generous heart can make the world a better place.
Gary Undercuffler graduated from Rowan University with a degree in Art Education. His focus at that time was fine art, specifically figure drawing. After college, Gary's interest in illustration resulted in years of work in children's readers and storybooks, magazine illustration, and textbooks. He continues his lifelong love of drawing anything and everything in his sketchbooks, as well as figure drawing. Gary teaches drawing, illustration, and computer graphics at local colleges. Gary lives near Philadelphia with his wife, Diana. He is, by necessity, an accomplished carpenter and gardener.
