True beauty is found inside a person, not on the outside. Beauty comes through loving and serving others with open hands. The leading lady of this story is not a princess and will never be written about in history books, but she is the epitome of love, and that makes her entirely beautiful. When others need her most, she wastes no time meeting needs all around. Through her self-sacrifice we see that love serves others with no thought for reward. Love in its very best form is selfless. Her story (like so many others) needs to be told to our children.

In this debut book geared toward preschoolers, ordinary actions can be seen as extraordinary acts, challenging the youngest readers and encouraging them to redefine love and beauty in their own world.

Contributor Bio

Morgan Barber is a first generation college graduate, with a BA in psychology from Auburn University. In her experience, ordinary people are the true heroes of the world, and she loves telling their stories. Her belief is that life is best lived in intentional community with others. She now resides in Auburn, Alabama with her husband and three children. Born and raised in Columbus, GA, Teil Duncan developed a love for art as far back as she can remember. She attended Auburn University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Art, and now lives and works as a full-time painter in Charleston, SC alongside her husband, Russell and son, Robert. She is a follower of Jesus and is so thankful to Him for providing a job that she loves. Inspired by light, movement, surprising color combinations, social interaction, and pattern, her goal is to infuse these elements and form abstracted, pixilated compositions. No matter the subject, she strives to portray a balance of realism combined with loose abstraction, causing one to compliment the other.
