This issue of Rabbit encourages us to think of poetry inheritance; of a poetry family tree; of the poets we study (or are made to study in high school!). We might think of the poets who were introduced to us by mentors who understood our tastes; the poetry that opened up possibilities for our reading and writing; the poets whose work stretches our own lines of poetry, whose words and rhythms can be felt in our blood.
