Simba the Lion
Simba is a mischievous lion cub who, from time to time, runs away to see other animals. He likes zebras, giraffes, fun noisy monkeys... One day, he sees something that he had never seen before...
Simba the Lion is the fifth story from the Learn to Read in UPPERCASE and lowercase letters collection, which is arranged according to reading difficulty, number 1 being the easiest and number 9 the most challenging.
Each page contains the same text twice: above in lowercase letters and below in CAPITAL LETTERS (uppercase). It teaches capital letters and makes the change towards lowercase easier. At the end of the book, you can find a message to think about.

Anna Clariana (Terrassa) studied graphic design and illustration. She's been working as an illustrator since 1980 in both textbooks and picture books. She has received several awards for her works: Young Painting Award (Terrassa, 1980), Festa Major Poster Award (Terrassa, 1981 and 1996), Children's and Youth Book Hall Poster Award (OEPLI, 1998), Lazarillo Award (OEPLI, 2000), and Parcir Award (Manresa, 2007). Bernat Cussó is part of the editorial team of Editorial el Pirata. He has adapted the classic stories from children's literature with a rhymed text and contemporary language designed for children.
