We fast-forward from the first picosecond of stuff forming in the universe to a Christmas card, millennia later. Her depiction of time and dynamism is visceral – things froth and whizz and quiver in a temporospatial-grammatical practice. We become aware of the minutiae of a life, and of a language, against both vast and infinitesimal phenomena in the universe.
Sometimes has written the celestial subjectively – or is it the subjective celestially? – and smears the lines between the practices of cosmology, poetry, and astrophysics. Alicia Sometimes is an Australian poet, writer and broadcaster. She has performed her poetry at many venues, festivals and events around the world and is director of two international science-poetry planetarium shows.
