is a sportswriter with the CharlotteObserver. He has won multiple awards for his coverage from the Associated Press Sports Editors and the National Motorsports Press Association, including the latter's George Cunningham Award. He lives in Gastonia, North Carolina. The Charlotte Observer is the most-circulated newspaper in North Carolina. The paper was founded in 1886 and has received four Pulitzer Prizes.
