Key Selling Points:

DIVERSE REPRESENTATION Compared to secondary education, almost little to no content about Africa/Africans is included in elementary curriculum. This book is here to help provide teachers / caregivers / parents with the right tool to lay the foundation of a child’s learning about different countries.

WRITTEN BY BLACK WOMEN -  Debut authors Anna and Sharmane are both of mixed heritage; keen to create books for young readers about contemporary native characters, filling a gap in the market for diverse, non-fiction children’s books.

FOSTERS CULTURAL CURIOSITY The key to an open-minded adult is a curious child whose thirst for knowledge is met and encouraged using the right resources.

UNIQUE EDUCATION RESOURCE - A workbook and teachers guide has been designed to be used alongside the book; which will assist educators in discussing key themes, general learning and takeaways both in and out of the classroom.

FULL OF FUN FACTS Keeps kids engaged with a multitude of fun facts; taking into consideration subtle cultural nuances.

MAKES A GREAT GIFT - The beauty of each of these books is that they are an enjoyable read; not just for those wanting to discover more about their roots but also for those who are interested to learn more about countries across the globe.

A JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY - Childhood is all about discovering the world around us. There’s no such thing as being too young to explore different cultures and get accustomed to countries and people all over the globe.

BEAUTIFUL ILLUSTRATION  Child-friendly characters that kids can relate to.

DEEPLY PERSONAL - The authors were inspired to write this book for the children in their lives. “We wrote this book because this is what we needed when we were little”.

INSPIRING MESSAGE - Encourage children to be curious, confident, kind and most importantly - have the courage to be themselves.
